TAPE IT
Patricio Tlacaelel Trujillo y Fuentes
You tried to rip away the layers thinking you would find the inner me.
You assumed that peeling back the layers you would find the inner me.
You were able to get deeper - and you penetrated enough to begin to see the real me.
I tried to put bandaids on the pain and the hurt and the scars.
I couldn't let people see what was underneath.
I know that inside there was richness, shining and love.
It was okay that you tried to get at the deepest me.
It was okay that you uncovered what I wanted covered.
It was okay that you showed what I didn't want shown.
Sol once said that if you want to be loved you must be vulnerable.
Sol had a wife who understood Sol's needs, who tolerated his deeds.
Sol was a goon man with a good wife, he didn't go to deep with me.
It's amazing the lives we live, all the same all different.
It's amazing how many people there are right now that we will never know.
It's amazing the way we meet the friends we have - complete with their scars.
We must rip away the mask - tear a way the bandages - live and be who you be
Sol knew what relationships were he had a number of them.
